Every year, we see the beautiful colors of traditional kebayas and the excitement of ceremonies across Indonesia. But at the COCO Social Fund, we believe that Hari Kartini is about something much deeper than a ceremony.
It is about the courage to open doors. Specifically, the door to education.
Real Action, Simple Steps
This year, we chose to honor Ibu Kartini’s spirit by doing what she loved most: empowering the next generation. We headed to TK Tunas Harapan for COCO Kids Club Vol. 4, and the energy was absolutely contagious!

Our mission was simple: show these bright young minds that learning isn’t a chore, it’s an adventure. We spent the day diving into English through:
- Creative Expression: Coloring our way through new vocabulary.
- Word Play: Building confidence through interactive word puzzles.
- Laughter & Logic: Engaging their minds (and funny bones) with English riddles and games.
Why the “How” Matters
We believe that for education to be truly transformative, it shouldn’t be scary or boring. It should be a safe space where children feel brave enough to try, free to express themselves, and excited to grow.

When a child laughs while learning a new language, they aren’t just memorizing words, they are building a foundation of confidence that will stay with them for life.
The Journey Continues
From these small, joyful steps in a village classroom, we are doing more than just remembering Kartini. We are actively continuing her fight.
By investing in the literacy and curiosity of these kids today, we are ensuring that the “path” Kartini opened remains wide, bright, and full of opportunity for everyone in our community.

Happy Kartini Day! Let’s keep learning, keep growing, and keep opening doors.
