Get Plastic Indonesia Founder Visits the Coco Learning Center Site

Action is the ultimate bridge between an idea and its impact. This week, we were honored to welcome the Founder of Get Plastic Indonesia to the future site of the Coco Learning Center in Cepaka.

This visit wasn’t just a site walkthrough; it was a meeting of minds. As we stood on the ground where our waste-to-fuel initiative will soon come to life, the conversation centered on a shared reality: Bali’s waste crisis cannot be solved with machinery alone. It requires a deep integration of technology, community trust, and localized management.

Validating the Blueprint

Get Plastic has been a pioneer in pyrolysis technology for nearly a decade, and having their leadership team personally inspect our site development ensures that the Coco Learning Center is being built to the highest standards of efficiency and safety.

During the visit, we explored the technical layout of the facility, ensuring that the space is optimized not just for the pyrolysis machines, but for the humans who will operate them and the students who will learn from them.

Why This Partnership Matters

At the COCO Social Fund, we aren’t interested in “symbolic” environmentalism. We are building a system that works. By collaborating with Get Plastic Indonesia, the very people who have proven that plastic waste can be turned into a valuable resource, we are ensuring that our center in Cepaka becomes a functional model for the rest of Indonesia.

The Get Plastic team shared invaluable insights on:

  • Infrastructure Readiness: Preparing the site for high-temperature thermal conversion.
  • Environmental Safety: Implementing rigorous SOPs to protect the surrounding beauty of Cepaka.
  • Community Integration: Ensuring the facility serves as a pride point for local villagers.

A Shared Commitment to Cepaka

Seeing the co-founder of such a respected movement stand on our soil reinforces our belief that the Coco Learning Center is the right solution at the right time. We are moving beyond the “talk” phase and into a reality where plastic waste is no longer a burden, but a fuel for our community’s future.

We are excited to continue this journey with Get Plastic Indonesia as our technical mentors and partners. Stay tuned as we move closer to the official launch of our waste-to-fuel program.
