The COCO Social Fund team, together with the Perbekel of Cepaka, recently visited GetPlastic.id, one of Indonesia’s leading innovators in waste-to-fuel technology. During the visit, we learned how their pyrolysis system transforms unrecyclable plastic waste into alternative fuel, reducing landfill pressure while generating economic opportunities for local communities.

To give us a clear understanding of the technology, the GetPlastic.id team provided a live demonstration of how their pyrolysis machine works, showcasing the precise process of breaking down plastic polymers into usable energy.

This meeting allowed us to explore potential future synergies that align with our mission in Cepaka Village: sustainability, circular economy education, and community empowerment. While no partnership has been formalized, the visit marked a meaningful step toward understanding real solutions that can support Bali’s waste challenges.
