Independence Day in Cepaka felt like something special! There was this incredible energy in the air that you could only feel by being there. The whole village, from the kids in the youth groups to our elders and a crew of volunteers came together with the COCO Social Fund and Coco Development Group teams to do something we’ve never done before.

We didn’t just celebrate; we made history by raising the longest red-and-white flag this village has ever seen.

The best part was seeing everyone with their hands on the rope, working side-by-side. It was a day of pure joy and a lot of laughs, but most importantly, it was a huge moment of pride for us. That giant flag was a beautiful reminder that when we move as one, there’s nothing our community can’t do.
