Cepaka Sunday Market
If you visit the site of the Coco Learning Center today, you’ll hear the sounds of construction and see a building taking shape. The Cepaka Sunday Market will be the first step in our mission to encourage a circular economy at the village level. We believe that for a community to be truly resilient, the talent and the resources should stay close to home.
For many of our neighbors in Cepaka, the market is more than just a place to sell goods, it’s a platform to grow a business. From home-cooks sharing traditional recipes to artisans showcasing handmade crafts, we are proud to provide the space and support for local entrepreneurs to thrive. When you buy from the market, you aren’t just getting something unique; you are directly investing in the dreams of a family in our village.
It sounds like a big term, but at the Cepaka Sunday Market, it’s quite simple. It means supporting local farmers so they can keep their land green. It means reducing waste by shopping locally. And eventually, it means taking the plastic waste from our village, processing it in our pyrolysis machine (once the center is complete!), and turning it back into energy for the community.
